I've built apps with agencies and an in-house dev team. Being part of a team meant sharing ideas and drawing on each other's expertise. Different people took responsibility for different parts of the app.
These days I build on my own with coding tools. Codex is my current preference. Building alone means holding all the context: who the app is for, how the journeys connect, and what's still undecided.
Whenever I create an app, I start with a vision and the policies and rules it needs to follow. I work out what those mean for the people using it: the steps they'll take and the situations they might encounter. I call these moments.
For each moment, I write a design brief, work through the logic, and create a preview.
I need to see those screens together without clicking through every journey. That helps me check consistency, spot missing situations, and find gaps where journeys should connect.
Seamling grew out of the way I build. I'm sharing it in the hope that it gives you somewhere to work through your own ideas too.
